Colour Block Nail Art Tutorial

Hey everyone,
I hope you all are doing well :). I know its been a while since I uploaded a tutorial (The life of a tertiary student gets hectic :p ) but today I have a colourful and simple design. For this colour block tutorial you will need stripping tape in addition to your nail polishes. Also, be sure to start off with a base coat to protect your natural nails. Let’s get on to the tutorial!

Step one: Apply a white polish to all nails.

Step two: Place one piece of stripping tape (or a thin strip of regular tape) vertically along the middle of the nail. Next, place another piece of stripping tape horizontally across one side of the nail as shown.

Step three: Fill in one of the quarter’s formed using pink polish and the other using blue. Remove stripping tape.

Step four: Using a black stripper create lines where colours meet.

Step five: Clean up around your nails to remove any polish from the skin and add your preferred top coat to smooth out design and add shine.
*As you can see I created different designs on each nail simply by changing the placement of colours and the tape.

Products used:
Essie: Cute as a button
F21: Baby blue
L.A Colors (nail stripper): Black
Sally Hansen: White on
Top Coat- Seche vite fast drying top coat
