Cupcake/ Birthday Nail Art Tutorial

Hey everyone,
I hope you all are having a great week and if not; be hopeful because brighter days are ahead. Today, I have an absolutely cute cupcake tutorial to share. The notion behind this design is the fact that my birthday is in a little over a week, and I feel truly blessed that God has given me another year of life. To create this look you will need a thin nail art brush and a dotting tool in addition to your polishes. Also, be sure to start off with a base coat to protect your natural nails. Let’s get on to the tutorial!

Step one: Create a square towards the tip of the nail and fill it in using a hot pink polish. This will act as the base of the cupcake.

Step two: Next, using a nail art brush and a lighter pink polish make three thick stripes on the base created in the previous step.

Step three:  On the edge of the base which lies in the middle of the nail, add four connecting dots using a purple polish and dotting tool. This represents icing on the cupcake.

Step four: Next, connect both ends of the icing created to form somewhat of a semi circle and fill in the shape. Do this using the purple polish.

Step five: Finally, add small dots towards the top of the cupcake to represent sprinkles.

Step six: Clean up around your nails to remove any polish from the skin and add your preferred top coat to smooth out design and add shine.
**On my ring finger I applied a glitter polish and poka-dots on my thumb and pinky.

Products used:
Colormates: Myrtle Beach purple
Essie: Cute as a button
